Scientist, Student, Teacher, Shellback
I am an aquatic biologist focused on ecology and fisheries science in the Sacramento River Delta and San Francisco Bay. As a biological consultant, most of my work focuses the interaction of environmental changes and infrastructure needs with the conservation of vulnerable species.
My current projects take me throughout the delta, from Suisun Bay to Clifton Court Forebay to Cache Slough and the Upper Sacramento River, with occasional work in San Francisco Bay and Sierra Nevada lakes and streams. I contribute to Federal and State of California reports, and spend a large chunk of my time performing statistical analysis on fish, zooplankton, and phytoplankton communities.
Outside of work, I spend my time with my wife, cat, two dogs, and many fish in Sacramento, where we hike, camp, kayak, and attempt to garden. I enjoy cooking and photography and spend way too much time doctoring fine art to include my pets.
